What personal training costs with us
Most personal trainers in London will not tell you what they charge until you have had a conversation. That wastes everyone's time, so here it is.

The prices
Block and package rates available. Ask when you enquire.
What you are paying for
The hour is the part you can see
It is not the part that decides the outcome.
The price covers:
- A full assessment before anything is written: blood work, movement analysis, lifestyle audit
- A programme built for you, and rebuilt as you progress
- Every session logged, so you can see what has actually changed
- Contact during the week, not only on the day
- Sleep, stress and nutrition included. They are not an upsell.
If you have paid for training before, what you will notice is how much of this happens when you are not in the room.
Context
Is £180 an hour a lot?
Yes. It is also less than several trainers working out of this same building, who charge £200 to £220.
Across London you can pay £40 an hour on a gym floor or £250 and up at the top end. We sit near the top, and we are not going to pretend otherwise or dress it up. You are paying for a private studio, a team led by two people who have competed at world level, and someone taking the whole thing seriously instead of just the hour.
If the cheap option had worked, you would probably not be reading this page.

What people ask before they enquire
- How much does a personal trainer cost in London?
- Between roughly £40 and £250 an hour depending on where you train and with whom. Gym-floor trainers at the large chains sit at the lower end. Independent coaches in central London typically run £80 to £150. One-to-one coaching in a private studio, which is what we do, starts at £180.
- How much is a one-hour PT session?
- With us, £180, and the same whoever coaches you. Block bookings reduce the effective rate. Ask when you enquire.
- Is £300 a month for a personal trainer good value?
- It depends entirely on what it buys. That might be four sessions with someone counting your reps, or it might be fortnightly coaching from someone managing your training, sleep and nutrition in between. Ask what happens outside the session. That is usually where the difference sits.
- Is it worth paying for a personal trainer?
- If you have repeatedly started and stopped on your own, probably. What you are buying is not the exercise. That is freely available. It is the programming, the accountability, and someone spotting the problem before it derails you. If you have never tried training on your own, try that first.

“I had some brilliant strength training sessions with Saul. Both Saul and Lizzie are incredibly knowledgable coaches, and as an osteopath I am always looking for good coaches to recommend to my patients, and I would very happily send any of my patients to see Saul and Lizzie at The One Percent Club. I am seriously impressed with their level of knowledge, care and how fun strength training with them is - I would highly recommend The One Percent Club.”

“My partner and I started training with Saul in January and it’s been nothing less than a wonderful experience! The plan was structured from the start and he really listened to what we wanted to achieve whilst staying within the realms of possibility and making it actually sustainable to keep the physique. My favourite part has been getting stronger and seeing a real tangible different in myself both physically and mentally since working with Saul. I’d be happy to recommend the One Percent Club to anybody and just be real with the coaches on what you want to achieve and they won’t mess you around, sell you a dream or make you feel bad for sometimes actually having a life and wanting to go out and enjoy the body you’ve worked for. Thanks for everything Saul & Lizzie!”

Most people start with a six to eight week trial rather than committing to anything longer. Call and we will talk it through. No obligation, and we will say so if we are not the right fit.
